Abstractions Removed

Update 1.75 in many ways is still just testing the waters and incrementally adding to something. It isn’t yet complete.

It’s going to take a little more to not only test ideas or try something new, but finally to create something whole.

The final update is intended to fully realise the process of creating a protein. The app at this stage is abstract to a large extent. I can’t say that it is showing humans complex information in an accessible way just yet. I think that the missing piece is familiarity. The current state of Update 1.75 doesn’t include anything that exists in other apps. Even if some of the same information is found in other apps it has a different visual and interactive design.

The final update is mostly going to be chemical structures that humans can identify visually. Not necessarily by knowing the specific names or functionality, but by an association to something that is visually familiar.

I think familiarity can help not only with marketing but also with humans piecing together the molecular intricacies or details of the information in the app.

This can finally realise the goal of the app, which is too make complex information fun and accessible for humans to learn.

These entries are intended to provide value and a look at the behind the scenes of creating an app.
