ultramaker
I was looking at a whole bunch of music to fit the style of RNA Translation with not much luck. I knew I wanted something futuristic, high energy and possibly similar to electronic music. Eventually I found a track called Goosebumps.
Needless to say I was hooked. I wanted to include the music in RNA Translation but this track might not be the right fit. I looked a little further and found a track called Ultramaker.
The track was perfect. It was futuristic, high energy, electronic and even had the name Ultramaker. Which is similar to the process of translation in the way it creates proteins.
So with this awesome music discovered there was only one thing left to do, contact Caspro.
Thankfully he is one of the awesomest people ever and was super kind in letting me use Ultramaker in the app.
Update 1.75
Dark Digital
For the next Update I wanted to add a storyline. Something that could grab the engagement of the audience or anyone interacting with the app. I was also inspired by sci-fi like blade runner or ghost in the shell.
I think there is a pretty big narrative addition by having a subtle indication that the information in the app could be related to these sci-fi. Theoretically if someone was to be able to use protein synthesis or reverse engineer it they might be able to create cyborgs or some kind of synthetic life.
From the existing music I was considering before the update, this was a no brainer.
I had already been interested in the album Dark Digital 2 before starting on the update. I loved the sounds of the tracks and created a bit of a story with the music alone in the segments.
And of course Caspro was pretty awesome about allowing me to include it in the app.
